Requesting information on the maximum distance between the wheel contact point and pivot for a new, lighter front axle design.

A matter of great important to us in the design of the new front axle of reduced weight etc. is the distance we can have between the point of contact of the wheel and the pivpt on the ground before front braking begins to interfere with the steering. We remember that M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Ferrot said this could be about .750 and we believe that on the Hispano it is .750. It is possible it could be more than this, say up to 1". Any increase of this distance is a great assistance in making the pieces simple and light, and if you have any information you can give us it would be very useful.
