X.9940 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. c. to RG.{Mr Rowledge} c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/14.12.23. 40/50 - FRONT WHEELS BRAKES X.9940 FRONT DUMB IRON. We send herewith N.sch.1708., shewing a suggestion for providing a stop on the front shackle in the event of the spring breaking. We intend the front dumb iron to be the same as instructed on N.sch.17L7 and generally the same as that on N.sch.1468., except that the width of the shank will be different because now we wish to cut less off the front end of the frame. We expect that this front dumb iron will be very similar to N.sch.1496., and we should like Derby to set it out. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
