Dear Sir, We should be glad to know whether you have any 'Aerolite' pistons suitable to try in our Bentley chassis. The cylinder bore is 3.250" and the engine runs up to 4500 R.P.M. We send you a drawing of the connecting rod. The distance from the gudgeon pin centre to the piston crown is 2.270". This could be reduced by โ " as we have connecting rods โ " longer that we can use. We were recommended to write to you by Mr.Clark of Sanderson & Holmes who has had considerable success with 'Aerolite' pistons. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
