Re: Chassis No. B-65-AE - R.F. Summers Esq.,
Hawarden Bridge Shield Works, Shotton, Chester.
'Phone No. 200 Connah's Quay.

This owner came on the 'phone this afternoon; he asked for 'Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}', 'Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}' and 'Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}' but was informed that none was available. He stated in connection with his car that there was a "chuffing" noise like a valve sticking, but it could be heard in the crankcase; also a knock comes up on pick-up. He was asked if he wanted us to send a man to give the matter attention but he did not wish this until he had discussed the matter with you or 'Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'. He therefore asked that one of you should ring him up on Monday morning so that he could discuss the matter and decide whether a man should be sent at once. Since owner rang up we have ascertained that you will be at the Works tomorrow. You therefore no doubt will wish to ring up Mr. Summers tomorrow morning.

D/BP.
