for the sub-frame. It will be pushed forward with all speed and we are hoping to have a completed EAC.11. car ready by Christmas, fitted with a covered body. This matter was discussed with C. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} at the Works yesterday.

The reasons for our suggesting that it might be better for 93-NK to be run by Sales Officials in England are :-

1. We hardly considered it fair to expect the Sales critics to give a definite opinion of the quality of the chassis until they had run it for some considerable distance.

2. If the car is run in England, it can be kept in close touch with R.{Sir Henry Royce} When a particular complaint arises (it will be a miracle if we do not have complaints) it can, if necessary, be demonstrated to R.{Sir Henry Royce}

We assume that R.{Sir Henry Royce} will be leaving for the South of France towards the end of December, therefore, it is advisable to make full use of R.{Sir Henry Royce} in connection with EAC.11. before he leaves. Last year we suffered considerably on 4-wheel brakes because of his being away.

3. The difficulties we anticipate with EAC.11. are not break-downs, but complaints such as - noises, rattles, vibrations, flexibility and faults on electrical units. The tests on the bumper, dynamometer and bench tests enable us to prove to a certain degree the reliability against break-downs.

4. When a car is being driven 500 miles per day, it must be driven at full speed the whole time, therefore, little contd.
