Contd :- -3- attention can be given to the quality of running. As we have pointed out, we could quickly complete a duplicate of 93-NK car if it is approved of. Vibrations. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} wishes to point out that his memo. ref. Hsl/LG 4.7.24. was written in order to enable the Sales to know, when testing 46-PN{Mr Northey} car, in what way that car represented the final EAC.11. In his opinion 46-PK car was a very good car for absence of vibrations and therefore he pointed out to Sales that they must not expect the production cars would be any better in that respect. He wished to make it quite clear to them that if they considered the vibrations on 46-PK were excessive, they should make a complaint at once. The Sales critics were evidently satisfied with 46-PK car as regards vibrations because not a single complaint was raised about it. With reference to 93-NK car which PN.{Mr Northey} tried the other day and complained of vibrations. This car was never intended to be tested by Sales. A telephone message was sent to W.W. asking that they might try it. The reason why 46-PK car was better than 93-NK car was because it had the following different parts fitted :- 1. Low compression pistons. 2. Longer connecting rods. When 93-NK car is submitted to Sales the next time, it will be similar to 46-PK which they tried in July and we do not expect the vibrations to be any worse or any better contd :- | ||
