re Bentley Jacking.

In reply to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/E.11.3.37, the scheme is similar to that which is standard on the Jaguar, but instead of using a screw jack the Sessions scheme utilises a hydraulic jack. The operation of the hydraulic jack is easier and quicker than the screw jack, and is in our opinion a more attractive proposition.

The portable jack unit with its handle, as on the Jaguar, weighs 9½ lbs, and the Sessions hydraulic unit weighs 7½ lbs.

With either system modifications to the chassis are necessary to make a satisfactory job, and these modifications would be almost identical for either jack.

We will arrange to have a jack of each variety available for your inspection on Monday next.
