200a To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}8/R.31.12.36. The longest job on 6.B.IV. appears to be a major foul between the front brake pull-on and radiator support. We are hoping by lowering part of the equaliser below the axle to overcome the trouble and get the car out of the fitting shop to-night, in which case, there seems to be no reason why it should not go to France by the end of the week. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} has written that he does not wish the overdrive fitted on 38-EX, as he hopes thereby to get the chassis at an earlier date. I have told him that this will not make any difference to the length of time we require to make a good car. He may, therefore, change his mind and we shall be able to "kill two birds with one stone". I am sending on to you various letters of a private nature. | ||
