WST 6092 N-W Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Br3/S. 14.2.35. Technical - re Faulty C.A.V. Voltage Regulators on Customers' Chassis. ------------------- With reference to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst2/MA12.2.35, I presume you will by now have received the report of your Mr. Pignatt. On Mr. Meyer's car, Chassis No.72-SK, it was impossible to get any good results with new regulators until a resistance was fitted. Afterwards the car was observed on a hundred mile test run, and everything appeared to be functioning correctly. The Agent has undertaken to let me know how he goes on after some further running. In the meantime, it would appear desirable that you should consider the fitting of this resistance as a desirable modification, having regard to the fact that the C.A.V. regulators and our dynamos as at present constructed, do not appear to co-operate very well. We know of one or two other Phantom II chassis which are experiencing, more or less, the same sort of trouble. Therefore we shall be very pleased to hear from you as soon as some cure is decided upon, so that we may give customers the benefit of same, with the least possible delay. [Signature] Br.{T. E.
