YOUR REF. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5.AD.

Birmingham. 12th August, 1932.

Messrs. Rolls "oyce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham.

We beg to acknowledge your letter of the 10th instant, referring to Oil Relief Valve Thermostats E.58119.

We note that you desire the cut-off Valve to operate at a very much lower temperature than that originally specified. We are of the opinion that owing to the short length of bellows employed, it will be a difficult matter to operate the cut-off Valve at 25° Centigrade, but we would suggest that you return one of these instruments to us for modification as we are of the opinion that they may be made to operate at under 30° Centigrade.

Yours faithfully,

p.p. S. Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories) Ltd.,

F.G.Efford
Midland Engineer.
