| RECEIVED OCT 19 1922 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4265 Mr. Booth. c. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. Sft.{Mr Swift} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BYS/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 19.10.22. GOSHAWK II. SIDE STEERING TUBE. With reference to the new side steering tube for which I have issued instructions that it must be fitted to the chassis without delay, I have decided that it will be necessary for us to obtain a standardization sheet for this before it is incorporated in the design. In the meantime, therefore, will the Works and EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} arrange to revert to the original type of side steering tube pending such time as we are able to get a fully signed up standardization sheet in connection with the proposed improvement. If none of the old type side steering tubes are available, the new type will have to be fitted for the present, as a temporary expedient. In the meantime, we will arrange to have old type tubes made to replace them. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
