Commander Robertson, R.N.

BATH.

Dear Commander Robertson,

Thank you for your letter of the 28th. August.

I understand that by now you will have received our list of spares from our Mr. Viale.

We note the ruling with regard to the proof of the mounting.

When Mr. Ashworth was here on Monday one point was raised which concerned you and that was, where the guns manufactured by the British United Shoe Machine Co., should actually be proofed. Naturally, they desired to do this at Melton Mowbray as this was most adjacent to them. However, they will doubtless be getting in touch with you in due course as you now have to deal with them in any matter appertaining to guns, after the first sample two.

Yours sincerely,
