Dear Robotham,
I thank you for your letter of the 11th instant.
We shall be glad to receive and to report on the 6.50/16 and 7.00/16 tyres which have failed in France.
Referring to your second paragraph, we do not think there is much difference between a 7" and a 6½" tyre, with regard to throwing treads. On the whole, we should think the 7" tyre would be a little better because of its larger diameter and reduced R.P.M, but this advantage is just about offset by the reduction of pressure in the 7", to give the same cushioning capacity as the 6½" on the narrower rim.
Yours sincerely,
A Healey
