Dear Mr. Healey, Since you were in Derby the other day, our testers in France have been running some of your 4-ply Rayon tyres on our streamlineExperimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E car. Both 6 1/2 x 16 and 7 x 16 have been used. Treads have come loose after varying mileages. The tyres are on their way back from France, and will be sent to you immediately they arrive. We should like to have your views on whether a 7" tyre is more or less likely to throw a tread than a 6 1/2" tyre when both are inflated to the same degree of cushioning. The 7" tyre is on a 5" rim and the 6 1/2" on a 4 1/2" rim. Yours sincerely, | ||
