Dear Mr. Milne, With reference to our 'phone conversation of today's date, the letter you mention, dated the 20th inst., has now come to hand, together with blue print Z4445, showing the centre main bearing for your 100 x 120 4 cylinder engine, and as mentioned on the 'phone, we will immediately look into the question of producing this bearing, if possible, from existing dies, but in the event of our not having a die to suit this particular size of bearing we will produce same from plain thick-walled casting, and machine generally to print forwarded with your letter, with the exception of the bore, which will be to the print you are despatching today for our attention, which will show the bore rough finished either -.010" or such other special size as is necessary for replacement work. We are going into this matter immediately with the Foundry machine-shops and will make every endeavour to get this bearing away to you in the shortest possible time. We shall therefore be writing you tomorrow as regards actual delivery date.
