Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/MJ.10.3.30. LARGE DEFLECTION FRONT SPRINGS. PHANTOM 1. We have circulated a standardisation sheet for Phantom 1 front springs having 4.5" initial deflection. We gave Firths' specification to work to on these springs which they adhered to as closely as possible and we attach copy of our original letter. It will be noted that our specification gave a poundage rather on the light side but the springs stood 40 hrs. on the bump before one failed. We are sending one spring into the D.O. for reference so that the correct spring clips can be drawn out. It will be noted that the springs are a close copy of the American type front spring that gave us such good results. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
