COPY. C.(Sales) from Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} WD {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} /NJ/16.10.22. "Goshawk 11" (C18/C13.10.22). I am delighted to learn that your sales of "Goshawk 11" will absorb output for some time to come, and note your impression that we shall not fit nearly so many of the standard bodies as you had expected. As you point out, this will mean a larger range of different poundages of springs and compel us initially to order a larger number of springs than would have been necessary had the range of poundages been limited. The information we desire from week to week is precisely that which you give on Erection Instructions with regard to type and weight of body, number of passengers, weight of luggage to be carried, also whether one or two spare wheels will be called for. Even with these particulars before us, I anticipate that we shall experience, possibly in a smaller degree, the difficulty we are now meeting with in definitely selecting springs of poundages which will satisfy Test Dept. when the chassis gets there.
