DERBY.

Dear Sir,

I beg to thank you for your letter of the 29th ult.

With regard to your kind suggestion that I submit drawings for your inspection, I feel that you would be more interested at hearing the proposition explained and any queries regarding it, answered by the inventor.

I should very much like to visit you at Derby and am sure that should you grant me an interview at a time and date convenient to yourself, your opinion of the invention and your kindness will be greatly esteemed.

Yours faithfully,
John Williams

P.S. I have pleasure in enclosing copy letter of introduction from Mr. F.{Mr Friese} Manning.
