EXTRACT. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X290 BY7/G.13.11.30. QUARTERLY COMPLAINTS. ------------------- X.290. X.4117. Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/AD.12.11.30. and Mr. Hancock's note of the 10th.inst. in regard to the two points raised we are going to recommend the fitting of the new spring without delay, but we do not agree that there is any essential difference in the bedding of the spring on the bottom whether it is closed or open type coil, as obviously the re-action occurs as a moment off the last piece of free wire and passes straight across the coil to the opposite diameter. | ||
