Date 12.2.23.
Description of Parts.
REMOVING THE END THREADS FROM PIECE NO. 3233. A.{Mr Adams}
X No. 3324
Drawing No.
Part List
Origin.
Suggested by Springfield to prevent threads being damaged.

[Action Options]
A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers.
B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works.
C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test.
D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis.

Experimental Test Report.
This alteration consists of removing the end threads - the reason for this is that if the end is hammered in order to remove the taper socket for the tie rod the thread is not damaged.

Road Test Report.
No road tests necessary. it cannot effect running of the car. Derby do not look upon this as an essential alteration because we never find it necessary to hammer the threads to remove the tie rods. We have no objection to it.
