MANAGING DIRECTOR'S OFFICE TELEPHONE: 8681 (10 LINES) TELEGRAMS: JAGUAR COVENTRY SS{S. Smith} WORKS HOLBROOK LANE COVENTRY 3rd May, 1939 W.A. Robotham, Esq., I have asked our Repair Department for a report, and they inform me that the only occasion on which they have had a similar valve failure is when a car had been driven round Brooklands flat out for a very considerable period. I am of the opinion that if a private owner had driven his Bentley at Brooklands in such a manner you would consider him responsible for any failure. Yours sincerely, W Lyons | ||
