DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to yours of the 27th ult., EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T, re thickness of ebonite separators, our Works are looking into this matter. The separators that you have had in the past are .4 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m thickness. Our idea was that these should be doubled in thickness, say .8 or even 1 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m. We find that we can get without much difficulty .6 m {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /m at not very greatly increased price, which extra we would be prepared to bear but we are not at all sure whether we can get much thicker stuff and we shall probably have to get it made specially and pay a good deal more for it.

We are looking into this matter but would be glad to have your observations on the question in view of the information that this letter gives you so far.

Yours faithfully,
PETO & RADFORD.

G.R.N. Minchin
