Car 2301

When the above car returns to Derby, will you kindly let Mr Platford see it, as it seems to have developed into such a state of excessive vibration, i.e. harsh.

If you think that it has done so, then it may be caused by :-

(1) Ignition rather more advanced than usual.
(2) The cylinders having a large deposit of carbon and, therefore, increasing the compression.
(3) The high Colonial type of model in which the centre of gravity of the engine is higher than the frame.
(4) The cancelling of the spring coupling between the engine and the transmission.
(5) The slipper drive on the crankshaft not being effective.
(6) The engine being very securely bolted to the frame, and there being a large amount of tin bonnet and dash.
(7) My criticism being bad.
