Dear Sirs, We have received from our Mr.Sleator at Levallois, your report relating to our recent interview on sparking plug troubles. We beg to correct some of the statements which are misleading. Firstly, you state that Mr.Child is 100% Champion. As we belong to the development department we are not 100% any sparking plug. We are in fact carrying out development work on four different makes in order to find the most suitable types of plug for our various experimental engines. We agree that for one type of engine your plug is, at the moment, the most suitable, but this does not apply to cars on production. The LB.8 type does stand up very well to continental conditions on the Bentley and Wraith but is not quite so good as the K.L.G. for slow running conditions. Your remarks that Mr.Robotham is being forced to recognise your plug is ridiculous. Mr. Robotham is fully aware of the merits of the respective plugs and as chief development engineer will decide on the type to be fitted. Cont'd. {John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
