Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/KT.

April 27th 1933.

The British Belting & Asbestos Ltd,
59, Southwark Street,
London. S.E.1.

For the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Dalmaine.

Dear Sirs,

We have been fitting your linings to two of our cars and have come up against the difference between Mintex T. and Mintex NMT. As the matter stands at present, we cannot equip our latest cars with Mintex T. linings all round, which are brass wound, and which you recommended owing to the depth of our countersunk rivets, because we have only these linings to G.100977 and G.100976, which are for the rear brakes.

The piece numbers for the front brakes are G.100294 and G.100298, and these you have only supplied in Mintex NMT, which you are now saying is unsatisfactory. We should therefore be obliged if you will let us have 24 linings to G.100294 and 24 linings to G.100298 in Mintex T. material as soon as possible.

Until we receive these pieces we shall have to run the Mintex NMT. lining without wire bonding, on the front of our cars.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
