| X200. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}:Ph.E. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} re Bensport Radiator. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}18/E27.3.33 Referring to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.20.3.33 I see no objection to shutters being dispensed with on the Bensport for the reasons given in your memo. I do, however, feel that it is important that the next car that goes abroad should have the arrangement which you propose instead. I am very much concerned to read about the further piston troubles on Bensport and presume you will keep us in close touch with further developments. In your Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ25.3.33 which I have seen to-day it says that it had already been decided that we should use the 20/25 diecast pistons. Frankly I do not quite understand the position as it indicates that we have been testing on the Bensport in France something different from what we intended for production whereas surely the whole object of the test is to pass what is on it for production.
