Smith}2/N.27.3.33. ------------ [STAMP] RECEIVED 27 MAR 1933 [/STAMP] Bensport Series 1 - Radiator & Bonnet. -------------------------------- Since the Experimental Dept. are not in a position to approve of the depth of matrix fitted to the 1st. exp. chassis, will the Drawing Office please confine their production instructions to 15 sets only of the parts affected by this feature. Other parts can be released for the full 200 sets. With reference to the Bonnet material, Mr Elliott agrees that we tentatively fix the proportions of closed and open bodies as 90% and 10% respectively. The bonnet for the open car being 8.5 inches longer behind the dash than the one fitted to closed bodies. In both cases we should show sloping louvres on our details. It is anticipated that we shall still have to deal with some special featured bonnets, but the above information permits us to order material for 200 sets. BY/SS.{S. Smith} | ||
