To BJ. c. to BH. c. to EH. copy X.53 Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}7/W24.7.19. Would you please see copy of letter attached from Mr. Bulter re car No.789, also our comments. Would you also please advise us as to the action to be taken with reference to the certificate he asks for ? Our Report. We have examined the engine and find it is in a very good state considering the number of miles the car has run (over 40,000 miles) since last overhaul - owner's statement. Our records shew that the car was overhauled in January 1914, so it is 5 1/2 years, not seven to eight years. We carried out a dynamometer test, and found the car to give very good power for the distance run. 40,000 miles without cylinder cleaning is a very good record indeed. There was very little bad effect noticeable when driving due to carbon deposit. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} (upside down text at bottom) R.R. 235A (500 T) (S.D. 408. 26-4-17) Hm.{Capt. W.
