Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X235 BY/HEB{H. Biraben}7/M.31.1.27. PHANTOM CHASSIS. REAR SHOCK DAMPER H.P. SPRING. With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/LG.19.1.27, we note that spring F.76429 gives 90 lbs. load at end of 13.000" Lever. On looking through the various spring drawings issued for Hydraulic Shock Dampers, F.75148 appears suitable to give 80 lbs. load. Will you test this, and let us know definitely the load this gives. It is most urgent now that the question of springs for "D2" Series is definitely settled. [Handwritten]: This spring gives 105 lbs [Stamped]: RECEIVED 31 JAN 1927 BY/HEB.{H.
