SPECIAL TOURING SALOON. 20.G.4.

Many thanks for the sample of paint, leather and cloth for the above car.

As this car is eventually to be used as a trials car we think that it should be painted to suit the Sales tastes yet at the same time the colour scheme should not be one which we know will not receive some measure of approval from Sir Henry.

We therefore suggest the pattern of the two shades of green (Beaumont). The light shade would be for the wings panels and head. The darker shade would be used for the waist mouldings and the pillars and around the windows, as well as the bead along the edge of the wings and running-board.

The head should be of straight grained fabric sprayed with the lighter green.

The interior we would like to finish with the leather and cloth you submit. (Beaumont).

We think that we had better use small wooden finishers and a wooden instrument-board. For this we suggest a dark greenish shade of limed oak, either wax polished or a similar finish obtained with cellulose. Much as we would like to make special interior fittings all in harmony, such as one finds on many second grade cars, we fear that the price would be prohibitive. We have indicated on the sketch herewith what we would like to have in the way of interior handles and finishers.
