The instruments should be the standard ones, i.e. black dials and black flanges, and the steering wheel black. Much as we would like to have a special finish on these we fear the increased cost. We will ask Derby to supply the instruments which will differ slightly from standard as they are for "U" Series.

All the interior and exterior fitting should be untarnishable. We are leaving it to you to arrange for the necessary standard accessories to be supplied to Messrs Park Ward.

The wheel discs should be light green with a darker green flange and inner ring.

The rubber on the steps should match the darker green.

We have left our original instructions concerning the scuttle ventilation although we have noted your report on the Continental Touring Saloon Trials Car. We know of nothing better at the moment. It will be seen that small stones and some of the dust would be prevented if the mouth of the intake were covered with fine gauze. When we get the car on the final chassis we are proposing to extend the intake along under the engine undersheet and to place its mouth under the front apron where there is no dust from the front wheels.

We will instruct Messrs Park Ward re the cushions.
