To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X24T.. E.2/HP.25.8.33. Modified Spring Drive and Slipper Flywheel - Bentley. We send you herewith LeC.3602 showing modifications to LeC.3597 to provide improved spigotting for the mounting of the slipper flywheel for which you ask, in view of the undercut in the crankshaft. We have arranged the spigots so that they can be ground at the one setting on any of the pieces involved, and for the general centreing of the friction disc on the crankshaft we are relying both on the short taper at the rear end and the fine fit on the bottom of the splines at the front end.
