Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} /AT191117 OUR REF WOK/EAA 14, PANTON STREET, LONDON, S.W.1. 23rd November, 1917. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, Nightingale Road, Derby. Attention of Mr. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 19th inst., and regret that this was not answered sooner, but it is due to the fact that our Mr. Kennington has been visiting the Fulham Air Station in company with your Mr. Day. We have discussed this matter with Mr. Day, and have arranged to send you a Model 284A Coil and Model 192A Ignition Switch. With reference to your request for instruction booklets concerning Model 171A Coil and Distributor, etc., we regret that we are unable to let you have proper instruction booklets for this owing to the fact that we have been waiting for photographs which you are obtaining from the Admiralty in order that we might compile these in our booklet. We now understand, however, that the Admiralty will not be long in furnishing you with the necessary photographs, and we will on receipt of these get our booklets ready as soon as possible. | ||
