re Bentley Front Brake Cables.

Referring to the question of the front brake cable clearing the oil pump on the engine, we are aware that the theoretical clearance at this point is small, being only .250". Actually on the first production chassis, the cable just touches the oil pump when pulled tight and it is obvious that some modification will be necessary.

Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} has looked into the question of setting the lever, and I attach his memo on the subject - Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/HP.4.7.33.

For the immediate chassis that are being built we should be glad if you will give instructions to this effect pending some permanent modifications on this point such as machining the axle further back.
