It is proposed to carry out the following re-organization scheme of the chassis single cylinder test beds, the programme being started while the Rudge unit is at the makers for overhaul. (1) Remove Rudge from bed, and return to makers, and in the meantime rig up the electric dynamometer to be in readiness for coupling to the unit on its return. (2) On completion of motoring tests on this unit, remove the engine from the bed, and couple up to the Bentley S/C unit. (3) On 2c bed now left vacant by the removal of the Bentley S/C unit, carry out the modifications requested in our note Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}14/KW.23.6.36. viz. rigging up a six cylinder Bentley for motoring tests. (4) Fit the water brake at present on the Bentley unit to the Rudge and rig up on 31b bed which is to be used for the O.H.C.
