500 C.C. Rudge Unit.

We are removing the above unit from the bed for return to Messrs. Rudge Whitworth Ltd., for a thorough overhaul, this being expected to take from a week to ten days.

In this period, therefore, we should be glad if you would rig up the electric dynamometer with the most flexible coupling possible, and all the necessary tackle to be in readiness for lining up the engine on its return.

Further modifications that are comtemplated are shown on the attached skett, where as you will observe, the Rudge is finally to go on 31B bed. We should be glad, therefore, if you would get out a scheme for this job, making provision for both air and water cooling. For this latter, it is thought that the tackle for the O.H.C. Bentley unit would prove O.K. and a small water impeller could be driven from the end of the petrol pump.
