Dear Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair},

Very many thanks indeed for yours of the 4th December and I am pleased to note that you have arranged with the oil companies for supplies of high concentration leaded petrol. I also note that you are reducing your order from 48 cans to 24 and will arrange to have the latter amount sent to you as soon as the consignment comes to hand.

This will also confirm the wire I sent you to-day to the effect that I will arrive at Derby somewhere around 11.30 to-morrow and I would be very pleased to spend a short time with you and perhaps we could have lunch together.

Kindest regards,

Yours sincerely,
F.R. Banks
