BY/EM5/J.15.12.33. ------------------ Aero Engine Fuel. ----------------- We are informed by the A.I.D. that the various fuel suppliers are complaining strongly to the Air Ministry that we are not allowing them sufficient time when we place our orders to permit them to carry out the necessary tests demanded by the new specifica- tions. These new fuels are produced and tested in batches and when once the batch is tested and passed, we can of course draw on same at short notice, but we are informed that it takes at least a week to test each new batch of fuel. Perhaps therefore, some arrangements can be made whereby the requisite length of time can be allowed to the fuel suppliers for the necessary test of fuel for our purposes. Elh BY/EM | ||
