Referring to the above car, which was in London last week, I should be glad if you would let me have your comments on what Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} says about the springing, paragraphs 1 and 2 on Page 2.

Whyman will of course be able to give you exact information as to the type of road and the speeds.

The ix other important point that he mentions is the petrol consumption which seems to be heavy, and I presume it should not be any worse than a 25/30 on which I normally do about 15 miles to the gallon.

With regard to the instrument board and his suggestion, you need not worry about this as it is really a coachbuilding item and we will have something in this direction tried as a mock-up.

JLE{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} tried the car with C. and I attach copy of his report.

Both C. and I formed the opinion that the car was a very great improvement on the 25/30, the steering, brakes, gearbox and springing being extremely good in every way.

The car is really delightful to drive and by stepping straight off it on to my 25/30 I realised what an advance it was over the latter car, or possibly I should say how out-of-date the latter car is.

There seems to be a general feeling that the springing is a little on the light side for a full load but Whyman said something about increasing the maximum damping. As mentioned, however, in the first paragraph I should like to have your comments.
