8616 RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.9.5.34. Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}'s Chassis 2.B.IV. On Tuesday next May 15th. Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}'s car is coming to the Works and we shall be glad if you will arrange to fit to this car the P.100 headlamps on shortened lamp standards of such a height so that the top of the P.100 headlamp is at the same height as the top of the present standard Bentley lamp. The Horns will be fitted on the front chassis cross member instead of the headlamp pillars. This car is then going to London on the Wednesday May 16th and it will then be decided whether this arrangement will be used or whether the P.100 headlamps will be mounted with the present standard pillars. We understand that it is impossible to shorten the standard pillars and keep the electric horns central with the lamps when using P.100 headlamps. "s/Wst. | ||
