ROAD SPRINGS.

Further to our discussion the other day, Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} has been going further into the matter.

It does seem to me to be reasonable to keep one piece number for all road springs of a particular type that have the same number of leaves. The other necessary qualities of the spring can be safeguarded by a general specification.

As Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} points out, Spring Makers at present do not work to the drawing leaf thicknesses.

We should like to have RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}'s adverse criticisms as well (if any) on Les.{Ivan A. Leslie}' suggestions.
