Alterations to Spring Drawings.

The following alterations would help the manufacturers and safeguard the important features which might effect the customer -

1. Deletion of Piece Numbers and Plate Thicknesses.

2. A limit for initial deflection to be ± .100" .125

3. A limit for the load required in the normal position to be ± 15 lbs. โœ“

4. Poundage plate to have "Drawing No." and "Actual Poundage" The plate to be attached at the side of one of the spring clips nearest the centre of the spring.

5. A maximum thickness for any plate in the spring to be given.

6. A minimum thickness of top plate to be given.

7. A limit of variation in thickness of the parallel part of each plate not to exceed .008" โœ“

8. Stress in top plate not to exceed -
1. Normal position 30 tons/sq.in.
2. Maximum Bump 50 tons/sq.in.

9. Number of leaves to be specified. If number of leaves altered spring piece number altered.
