Dear Bill,

Just to remind you that you promised to send me a drawing of the hydraulic shock absorbers as fitted to my Bentley, with directions of how to vary the load on them. I should be very glad to have this as soon as possible, please.

I wonder if you would ask Haywood to let me know exactly what they did to my car when it was at Derby ?
They have certainly made it much more pleasant to drive, and have taken most of the vibration out of the front axle and steering column. This had latterly become quite alarming at high speeds. If this was achieved merely by adding more damping effect to the shock absorbers, then I must be careful not to undo the good results achieved, and must put up with a little 'teeth-chattering' vibration!

If I could, therefore, have Haywood's report at the same time as the shock absorber drawing and adjustment instructions, I think there is every hope that I can set the springing to suit my conditions, and fads!

Yours ever,
