Mr. Lidsey from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Experiments here shew that the over-oiling on the EAC. is due to excessive oil on the Valve Mechanism, being drawn through the inlet valve guides. We should like you to make a test, once you have established the oil consumption, by driving small wooden pegs into the holes of the rockers on the valve side. The holes at present are just above the head of the valve and a continuous stream of oil comes through them and runs down the valve stem.
