The reason I raised this point at the last Technical Conference was because Mr.Eustace Watkins has complained rather forcibly to me about this defect of the car, and N. had told me they had no cure for it, although I understand they did effect quite a substantial improvement when the car was in their possession.

The fact that I have not since heard from Mr.Watkins either indicates that he is now satisfied or that he may have sold the car. I have for the moment refrained from approaching him, as he is rather inclined to be very critical if given the opportunity.

Re Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s car, I merely noticed when Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} drove it to the Works on our last visit, that as he started away from rest there was a very definite jagger. It struck me, therefore, that if the car used by the Works' Director suffered from this defect it did appear to me something that required further investigation.
