-2- Contd. From previous experiments it does not appear that any kind of scrubbing action will do, but that it must take place in a particular way. It may be remembered that we tried out a type of scrubbing action on the old 40/50 ignition with tungsten points, but the result was not satis- factory. The whole thing has been very elusive, but we do seem now to be somewhere on the track. Although at one time we strongly urged the necessity of very good contacts and connections, we do not now think, xxxx as a result of experiments, that super-excellence in this direction is so important. In particular we are of the opinion that the proposed conducting links from lever to condenser are not so necessary. EFC. | ||
