| To ns{Norman Scott}/Wst. From G.W.H. 66079 Hotel de France, Chateauroux, FRANCE. 12.4.34. WST 28-EX. We should be much obliged if you could give us the following figures re. starter motor. (1) Distance armature floats before contact is made for full torque. — .475" (2) Distance of pinion teeth from flywheel. — .175" +/- 1/S. These figures on 28-EX are as follows:— (1) Edge of teeth to starter motor face 11/32" (2) When contact is made the float is 15/32" ✓ (3) Distance of pinion teeth from flywheel teeth 7/32" We have made the float greater before contact is made to approx. 17/32".
