Vehicle accident involving a broken steering lever during experimental trials.

Identifier  ExFiles\Box 181\M10\  img117
Date  26th November 1938

in connection with experimental trials of a special form of pebble guard on the Frome Road at Joe hills, when descending a steep hill, & when travelling at about 10 m.p.h. the pendulum steering lever broke which caused the car to leave the road & finish in the ditch. Slight damage was done to the car & hedge. We consider 10/- a reasonable Ratcliffe claim, for damage to hedge.
