Dear Hives:

Re: 14 T. Axle
(Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 5/ G 11.5.22)

We have had about a dozen so far and put them on demonstrators, experimental car and so on.

We have had bad luck with noise on the 15s, but the 14s are nearly all very silent.

Gas consumption works out about 12 m.p.g. (U.S.) in open country with a heavy body. Engine runs cooler. Acceleration and hill-climbing are improved to the point where we don't have to worry about them any more.

The engine is more kindly treated because of increased speed under full throttle conditions, less straining at hills, etc.

We shall use the 14/52 on all cars from 236 onwards, when present stock of 15/52 is used up.

Our experience quite agrees with yours.

Oy.
