Oy9 - G 4821 Sheet #2. without threads because the threads may work loose under these shocks. I must add that we do not find the bronze cap G-483 working loose on test, and this has more cause to do so than the cap on the radial bearing, because of the greater rotation which comes against it. However, we did not find a lot of things until lately and we think our scheme is safer. The objection to the screwed cap applies to the existing design of double thrust bearing. We can make the new housing on scheme XA-927 by turning down the old as shown, and we can at a pinch make the new reverse housing XA-874 out of the forging for the old housing. OY.
